We work with communities and organizations large and small literally from Washington, D.C. to Washington State to make energy efficiency more meaningful to more of us.

Across the country about 25% of the energy we pay for at home and at work is wasted. We pay for it but we don't get any benefit from it. This isn't a subject most people talk about. The actions we take to cut energy waste are normally private and often invisible. But ask the right questions and soon enough people have great stories to tell about their homes - what they love, what they hate and what’s worked for them.

For the better part of two years, as a pro-bono project we’ve been visiting people at home and at work and talking about what they’re doing to cut down on wasted energy. We’ve been impressed by the quality and quantity of stories we’ve heard. And it turns out that when it comes to energy use and energy waste, stories make it easier for other people to cut through the clutter and take action. Good stories trump great stats.

We're currently working on making it easier to gather and share these invisible stories to make it easier for others to learn from real people who have taken steps and seen real benefits in cutting their energy waste at home and at work.
